Daily Ramble
Wednesday 11 April –
Seen as I was so wiped out yesterday i thought I’d try to get back to some sort of routine so in the gym at 6am – managed a fairly good workout & felt great. Considering I woke at 3am with head hurting and dozed till 5am. Determined its going to be a good day.
Getting sick of the random left hand ! Can’t type 2 handed very easily as fingers work in a random order even though I know I have told them what keys to press. Having trouble today carrying anything with my left hand too. Also tying a shoe lace is a bit of a mare!
John my boss is down from Auckland to go over some functions I do – good to see him & catch up. Even took our Portacom out to lunch
Made it through the day without a Nana nap was fading at work big time but still feel good at 9:30pm – well as good as I can feel.
Even left under the supervision of Jacob & Lachlan tonight as my normal guard has gone to the movies. Boys asleep now so I can plot my escape – joking. Sad as normally at footy practice (not that it could honestly be called practice anymore at 44 when playing Masters grade) tonight then pub. Don’t know if told you folk that on black Friday I was also told that I can no longer Drink, Drive or play footy again – talk about having it all taken away from you in one go!! I am still working on the playing footy thing – as really what harm can I do to myself – ok those that know me stop muttering now! My team has humbled me completely by renaming themselves the Halswell pinkies after my footy nickname – thanks gents.
Counting down till first oncology – chemotherapy appointment on Friday morning. Don’t know what to expect really but know that it is another milestone & more answers on the path of this journey we are on. I say we because if you are reading this then you obviously care & I know that you are all beside me along this rugged path. That reminds me – a big thank you to all whom have passed on messages of support & encouragement.
Any how enough rambling – you were warned in the title! time for a milo & my 10pm drug array!
Kia Kaha Folks.
