3 Too Many

Wednesday 3 April

Well we have shared a lovely low key family Easter weekend that seemed to last forever!  Surrounded by family and friends.  We have laughed, talked, told stories, shed tears and hugs.  Thank you so much to Matt and to the Fifita family who traveled from Queenstown and Nelson to visit – great to see you all.

Over the last week Tony has had more regular absent seizures (napping), and at times he has been battling high pain levels.  Today (Wednesday) he woke with bad head pain, which we spent the morning trying to manage.  Nurse Maude arrived and offered their unwavering support and advise, surprise visit from Nutty at just the right time (thank you!).  Tony’s pain is very similar to what happened two weeks ago when he was in the hospice … so now we wait, as he rests very peacefully (snoring).

Thank you to all who have, and continue to, help support our family, delivered meals / baking, and helped with Tony’s care since he returned home.

Take care
Sue

    Hiya Sue, Tony and family,
Been about a year since my last comment here – regret still am without many words…..

Would like to offer my thoughts as to a very big thank you for sharing this blog as we all feel connected when feeling a little like not wanting to intrude on your close family time together.

Your courage and honesty throughout is truly understated, and serves as a benchmark of character

Take care – and you know the old cliche of anything needed just ask….

And Pinky – There will be concerns amongst a few that if we have to shave our heads again there may not be much chance of regrowth – so be your usual stubborn OCD (did I mention stubborn!) charming self and stick it out will you……!

Apologies for the novel by the way :-)
